Julian Longden

Julian is well-known in Sussex and is steadily making a name for himself in the rest of England after returning from Los Angeles, where he lived and sessioned for a number of years. Heard at the Solent Folk Festival recently, he delighted everyone with his well-judged and captivating technique. With vocals, guitar and cittern he treats his audience to traditional songs and music of the British Isles, 'using the style of those he admires most to put his own interpretations on songs that we would want to hear again' (Ted Comben's words in Folk On Tap). His (many and varied) influences include Carthy, Jansch and Renbourn and he certainly does his masters proud.
