Fo'c'sle Programme October 2003

3 Fiona Moore and the Delicious Soundbites

The versatile Fiona is not only a spine-tingling storyteller and a delightful folk singer, but runs 'Delicious Sounds' Southampton community choir. We don't have the whole choir tonight, but as well as singing solo and telling stories, Fiona is bringing along a much smaller group the ‘Delicious Soundbites'. This promises to be a deliciously different evening.

17 Heather Innes & Ciaran Dorris

Last heard at the Fo'c'sle several years ago with the old 'Tandem Band', Heather will be remembered as a wonderful, powerful singer in her own right. Belfast-born Ciaran is an equally talented vocalist as well as a fine, gentle guitar accompanist and together they not only deliver highly-charged and individual versions of some great songs, but shower the audience with the good-humour and unpredictability of their on-stage banter.

24 Anything Goes

Play or Sing, read a Poem, tell a Story, listen, fetch the beer, anything.

31 Roy Clinging

"A fine musician and singer who breathes life into his songs" (Bodmin FC), Roy plays concertina and has researched the songs and traditions of his home county of Cheshire and is a popular performer in Clubs and Festivals throughout the British Isles. His recent CD 'An Honest Working Man' was described by one reviewer as having 'some of the best traditional music you will ever hear'. Roy is also known for his concertina workshops and will no doubt be showing off the many styles and techniques of accompaniment he has developed tonight.
