5 Fiona Moore

A folksinger with a lovely voice, a captivating storyteller, a composer, an inspirational community musician performing (and running workshops for all ages/abilities) in schools, libraries, arts centres, prisons, day centres, even a tin mine! - if that isn't enough Fiona has founded and runs ‘Delicious Sounds' and ‘The No Commitments' choirs - and co-teaches ‘Get Vocal' at Chichester and runs Singing Picnics with colleague Aisling O'Gorman. You will hear enchanting stories plus traditional songs or "quirky" originals and maybe the odd African chant!

As well as new motherhood, Fiona continues to co-teach the Chichester Community Choir, Get Vocal, plus running singing picnics with her friend and colleague, Aisling O'Gorman. These scrumptious events are growing in popularity and gourmet delight.

Fiona is secretary of the Natural Voice Practitioner's Network (www.naturalvoice.net) which supports practitioners who believe that it is everyone's birthright to sing, so be prepared for an evening of audience participation.

(John McCormick has unfortunately sustained an injury and cancelled his tour)

19 Four Hand Reel

Andy Stone & Julian Gurr

Four Hand Reel

Seen at 2005 Beggars Fair (where the bar audience obviously loved them), it was immediately obvious that the playing of this new duo is finely tuned. Andy (guitar, fine voice, songwriter) has been a professional musician since leaving University, working in the music industry at every level from teaboy to record company boss - he has always loved folk, celtic music and jazz and is also half the duo ‘Blue Sun' with Jane Eyre. Julian (mandolin, guitar) bought a cheap mandolin to take on holiday instead of his guitar and got hooked. He enjoys rooting-out folk tunes from other countries resulting in Swedish, Galician and Israeli influences added to Celtic and English folk sources. His love of folk music also extends to dance and he is caller for ‘Agglestone Ceilidh Band'. Brian Finnegan of ‘Flook' says of their new CD ‘Woven' (p26 FoT Issue 106) ... "a pleasure to hear ... music that sparkles with life ... a lovely piece of work"
