Fo'c'sle Programme March 2003

7 Anything Goes

Play or Sing, read a Poem, tell a Story, listen, fetch the beer, anything

14 Mick Ryan & Pete Harris

Substituting at short notice for
Cherrington & Ward who have again had to cancel due to illness!
Pamela Ward & Paul Cherrington had to call off last year because Pam caught the 'flu - the more reason to welcome them now! They have emerged back onto the national scene after confining themselves to Northampton while the family were young. A breath of fresh air with their wide variety of musical styles - ranging through folk, blues, ragtime, contemporary and unaccompanied traditional - Paul's guitar mastery and Pam's delightful melodic voice have captured audiences everywhere (including the BBC).

21 Joe Stead

He of the ‘Ramblings' (see any Folk On Tap), a singer of many hundreds of good songs from all over and a banjo player. The group ‘Kimber's Men' was formed in 2001 to celebrate his 60th birthday. For his solo gigs he and his audience choose which kinds of songs they want to hear, a unique tour de force which has brought him great acclaim. His act has remained fresh and listenable right through the decades since he started out. Another treasure to catch while you can, although he promises to go on forever!
