9 Keith Kendrick & Lynne Heraud

see also Lynne & Pat's website
Keith (voice, English and anglo concertinas, guitar) is "an exceptionally fine singer" (Living Tradition) in harmonious duo with Lynne “the Hertfordshire Nightingale”. They joined forces in 1999 to pursue a strong mutual interest in English folksongs and ballads and their CD ‘Stars in my Crown’ has been very well received. Working on the national and international scene for 37 years, Keith got noticed with ‘The Druids’ (who started Druids FC), was a third of a cappella group ‘TUP’ (with Jim Boyes & Lester Simpson), founded the all-singing, all-dancing ‘Rams Bottom’, duo’d with Barry Coope for 12 years and was in the last line-up of Muckram Wakes. As well as solo, he now performs with ‘East Kent Hoppers’ and ‘Three Sheets to the Wind’ and runs the Derby Gaol session. Lynne ran Hoddesdon Folk Music Club for many years and started singing there in 1970. Many will remember her as part of ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’ as well as ‘Brandis’ which included Pat Turner with whom she still sings. She has a fine voice and an incredibly varied repertoire - don’t forget your singing voices!

16 Anything Goes

23 Suntrap Duo (Sara Byers & Paul Hoad)

Sara (lovely voice, accordion, bodhran, whistle) and Paul (vocals, guitars, harmonica) were previously on the London scene as part of the trio ‘Shine’ becoming part of the 3-piece Suntrap Band in 1996 (now 4-piece). As a Duo, they perform beautiful more intimately-arranged (often a cappella) versions of the songs and harmonies for which they are becoming increasingly admired at Festivals and Concerts - (their) “inner spirit shines through ..... in every- thing they touch” (Skagen Folk Festival). As part of Suntrap Band, they have shared stages at Cambridge and Warwick Folk Festivals with Waterson Carthy, Kathryn Tickell, the Albion Band, the Oyster Band and Vin Garbutt (a great help in getting noticed) and Songwriters Sara and Paul perform not only their own original innovative material (drawing on English song and American folk/country traditions), but also the best of the traditional and contemporary folk repertoire.
