Fo'c'sle Programme January 2005

7 Anything Goes

Play, Sing, read a Poem, tell a Story, listen, fetch the beer, anything

14 Shep Woolley

Folk singer and humorist, Shep is a real local lad made worse and none the worse for that! With songs ranging from coal mining to out of control kids, launderettes and bicycle pumps with the (very) odd sea shanty and sometimes a bit of rock and roll, there'll be entertainment and social comment for all.

21 Anything Goes

Play, Sing, read a Poem, tell a Story, listen, fetch the beer, anything

28 Frankie Armstrong

Frankie goes way back at the Fo'c'sle and has invariably been a great favourite. With an amazing once-heard always-loved voice and technique that defies description, she will dispel the coming February blues with a feisty selection of music from the tradition, William Blake, Brecht and Leon Rosselson. " ... some of the most glorious, evocative, life-affirming, folk music ... " (Geoff Wall reviewing The Fair Moon Rejoices). Frankie is deeply involved with encouraging natural voice production and an organisation which exists for that purpose - NATURAL VOICE PRACTITIONERS NETWORK, see www.naturalvoice.net.
