Alan Mahon: Laceworm Luncheon for the Bluetail
32.5 x 23.5 x 14        19.5 x 16 x 4.5
Delightfully good story behind the connection between these two. Alan considers himself a modest quality automatist;
Sergio, when asked, was not exactly backward about coming forward in his opinion on the Bluetail, about how realistic
it ought to be. To defuse the somewhat heated exchange, Alan's wife, Hendrijke, came up with the phrase "One Can,
Toucan" and a drawing, which Sergio later turned into this automaton. Alan is Irish, hence the Guinness reference in the
toucan image; Sergio is Italian Swiss, so has an abhorrence of spaghetti from a tin. Even though not his native tongue,
the label is in English, laden with jokes and puns, spoofing the typical spaghetti-can blurb.
