Fo'c'sle Programme October 2000

6 Tania Opland & Mike Freeman

Tania has one of those wonderful clear voices and this Anglo-Alaskan duo rejoice in playing their many-cultured music (English lyrics!) on a fine array of instruments including hammered dulcimer, violin, Native American flute, cittern, recorder and guitar. Mike's subtle percussion includes a cast aluminum darabouka and a Gambian style djembe.

20 Sue Brown & Lorraine Irwing

You may remember the delightful Sue & Lorraine from Oxford when they supported Ali & Swarb on the SS Shieldhall in '98, as well as at Folk Under Libra. Talented singers with a fresh slant on traditional favourites.
