2000 proved to be an outstanding year for Nancy and James. In February they won the BBC's Horizon Award for "Best New Act On The Scene" at the first ever Radio 2 Folk Awards. Since then they have toured extensively and appeared at Orkney, Bath, Brampton Live, Gower, Wadebridge, Bromyard and Sidmouth Festivals.
Nancy, the daughter of musician and songwriter Sandra Kerr has a distinctive singing voice and exquisite fiddle/viola style. James is a member of "The Fagans" a well established Australian folk singing family. He is a powerful singer and a dynamic player of the flat backed bouzouki and mandolin.
Their debut album "Starry Gazy Pie" was met with great enthusiasm ... "just class, class, class"... "an album that should be at the top of the shopping list" Living Tradition.
Their recent album "Steely Water", is also receiving brilliant reviews. They go from strength to strength.
