Fo'c'sle Programme November 2000

3 Pete Watkinson

Pete has been singing in Clubs since 1973 and is a regular MC at The Railway, Portsmouth. He has a wide variety of material in the traditional style, of people and places and about or collected from Hampshire and Sussex and accompanies himself on guitar when appropriate, but his real strength is his voice. He was a member of the now disbanded Cantoris and of the cast of Mick Ryan's "A Days Work" and "The Voyage".

10 Anything Goes including feature from Priory Hard Shanty Group, also Ruth Wyand (USA)

The SS Shieldhall has recently been moved to Berth 48, approached through Dock Gate 4. This gate (at the end of Queen's Park) has a security man on duty - just tell him where you want to go. 2nd right down Cunard Rd; Parking near the silos about 50 yards short of the boat.

Isla St Clair is known to millions for her TV & Radio appearances, with programmes ranging from her own Tatties 'n Herrin to Songs of Praise - for which she boosted the viewing figures by 25%. It is sometimes forgotten that she is first and foremost a singer, and most at home with her original folk audience. This will be real a treat!

Support from Three Guinea Reward [Tony Brown, hammered dulcimer; Janet Roberts, piano accordion; Dave Foote, hurdy-gurdy] with a lively mixture of English, Celtic and French music.
