Fo'c'sle Programme January 2002

4 Anything Goes and Happy New Year

Opening night get-together to start the New Year.

11 Sue Pugh & Alan Poore

Sue ran the New Xpress FC in Bournemouth for many years and still MC's. She loves singing and has an excellent voice with a very wide selection of material which never fails to surprise and delight. Tonight she is accompanied by Alan Poore on guitar (in one of the duos and trios with which she regularly appears, including most recently Dangerous Curves) and as always she is well worth coming to hear.

18 Anything Goes

25 Pete Castle

A really lovely evening of largely traditional songs and music, which everyone comes away from happily wanting more. Pete's reputation has been quietly growing over the years and his recent album "Mearcstapa" has continued the process, attracting glowing reviews and airtime including Radio 3's 'Late Junction'. Pete also has a particular involvement with the Maramures region of Romania and the band 'Popeluc' (Pete, daughter Lucy and Ioan Pop from Romania).
