| Celebrate the festive season listening to traditional English midwinter songs and dance tunes, linked with stories and readings from Dylan Thomas, Laurie Lee and Thomas Hardy. Delightful harmonies, superb musical arrangements and all the flair and merriment the Band bring to their performance. Brian Gulland, Robin Jeffrey, Tim Laycock and Robert A White play everything in sight (including baroque guitar, harmonium, hurdy-gurdy, shawm and uillean pipes) and are joined by talented new member Sharon Lindo on rebec, viola and violin. They all sing. £7 Folk concession price from the Box Office on 02380 595151 or at the door. |
| Brian's skill on the melodeon, anglo-concertina and guitar together with his expressive singing voice and engaging manner with his audience have made him a welcome guest at Folk venues up and down the Country and all over the world. His vast and varied repertoire includes the traditional North-West tunes and songs he so loves as well as ballads, beautiful original compositions, covers of contemporary heroes and daring arrangements of blues, ragtime and rock 'n' roll.
Last heard at the Fo'c'sle with Gordon Tyrrall on Waterloo Day (18 June) 1999, Brian is just as enjoyable, energetic and passionate with his solo act, as many past appearances testify. ![]() |
