Carolyn Robson

Carolyn Robson is a traditional folk song and dance specialist. She is also a professional singer and musician and until 1996 was the Education Officer for the English Folk Dance and Song Society. She was a radio presenter in the 70's and regularly sings on radio. In 1981 she produced her first album, 'Banks of Tyne' on the Dingle's label and more recently can be heard singing on Kathryn Tickell's latest CD 'The Northumberland Collection'. She is a dance caller and is the Consultant on the recent BBC TV Folk Dance series for schools.
Carolyn first appeared as a guest at the Fo'c'sle in the mid 70's and again in 1993. Her repertoire consists of mainly songs from her native Northumberland and Scotland plus a few others from other Parts of the British Isles.

Carolyn is also a qualified teacher, has taught at schools in England, Scotland and Wales, and is currently available on a free-lance basis for:
