Durley Apple and Folk Day 2011

Stephen & Julia Hayes of Fruitwise have joined forces with Jane Allison & Trevor Gilson [Fo'c'sle Folk Club]and Cath Watkins [Melting Pot] to put on a Charity event at which apples will be sold and a Singaround and Session, a Mummers Play and an Evening Concert will be used to raise money for local Charity Tools for Self-Reliance. Craft, Jewellery and produce stalls will be present during the day.

Apple and Folk Day 2011 will be on Saturday 29 October starting at 12.30 at Durley Memorial Hall: SO32 2AE


Tickets for the Evening Concert will be £7. Admission to the daytime event only will be free, but it is hoped that many of you will give to the charity, and many more stay for the Concert (finishing at 11pm).

Jigfoot (picture below) and George Wilson, Contraband and the Woodlands Village Band (picture below) are already signed up together with an Autumn 'Green Man' Mummers Play including Ian and Julie Nichols and Three's Company with Peter Campion.

Ploughman's Lunches and an Evening Hog-Roast (vegetarian curry alternative) will be available

Bar with two real ales from the Botley Brewery and award wining cider by Jez Howatt of the 146 cider company

12.30 Doors Open, Bar available, many varieties of English Apple on sale as well as juice, craft, jewellery and produce.
